A Sindh based leftist party Porhiyat Muzahimat Tehreek which translates to Workers’ Resistance Movement in English has announced a rally in Hyderabad, the city it influences the most. The leader of the party Masroor Shah posted on his social media account that the party had decided to gather supporters for a rally in the city, aiming to address key issues of Sindh like ‘land grabbing’ and ‘construction of canals’ on Indus river. According to the post, the rally would be held on Sunday, February 23.
The leftist party, Porhiyat Muzahimat Tehreek, has young leadership, and consists of young members from across Sindh. Though the party was officially founded in 2023, but its members had continuously been active in the field before its foundation in Hyderabad. The party mainly focuses on political issues of Sindh and tries to train the youth by holding study circles and lecture programs in the province.
